THE PLACE WE FIND PEACE

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid John 14:27

The realization that life must be lived for God is a powerful revelation because before such a revelation we do not understand that our life does not belong ourselves.  Now, the statement we have heard so often that we belong to God is resonating throughout our being. As we live out this revelation we begin to change in how we relate to others. We can grasp the fact that we are to pour out ourselves into the lives of others.  Jesus came to the earth not to be ministered to, but to minister to others. We can’t hide from that fact once we realize we do not belong to ourselves.

Do we really understand what we commit to when we make the heart felt decision that we will not live for ourselves anymore, but for God. What we are saying is that we will be obedient to the Lord in all things.  Being obedient in all things is not an easy task because we are human and do not have complete understanding of everything the Lord has in store for us. As we take those steps into obedience of the Lord we will began to understand every time we obey the Father he preparing us to commune with him more as well as prepares us for encounters with others.  As we continue to obey the Lord we will begin to realize there are no shortcuts just God’s perfect timing.

One of the most convicting and mind changing moments with the revelation we do not belong to ourselves is no longer will we simply do things to receive blessing from God.  No longer will be motivated by what we get from God, but by the fact that Jesus is the Son of God the Christ and because of simply who he is we conform our personal ambitions which transforms our lives to what God wants our lives to reflect.

In the areas of life mentioned in the pervious paragraphs, the revelation we do not belong to ourselves, Obedience, and conforming personal ambition, we will find ourselves in the peace that God says he has in store for us. Through these life transforming experiences we see God for who he is therefore we will with all of our being live for God.  The time is now to become the person who God has in store us.  Thank you for reading this blog and I would enjoy reading any of your thoughts about this blog.

Grace and Peace,

Rod
