JESUS TRULY AMAZING

FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS A MERCIFULGOD; HE WILL NOT ABANDON OR DESTROY YOU OR FORGET THE COVENANT WITH YOUR FOREFTAHERS, WHICH HE CONFIRMED TO THEM BY OATH DEUTERONOMY 4:31

Being such a sport fan it is easy for me to compare some of the great feats that occurred in the Olympics. All the gold medals Phelps won in swimming or the speedy records Bolt smashed on the track.  These athletes spent numerous hours, days, week, months and years attempting to reach these unprecedented accomplishments.  I have to take my hat off to each of them because from a human perspective no one occupies the same athletic space as they do, but some day these records may be broken. If you truly want to know someone who will never be replaced you have to only look to Jesus.

When I think about Jesus there is one word that comes into mind “Amazing”. He is and never halts to be so wonderful.  There are so many passages in the bible that are very descripive in regards to our amazing Lord.  First, think about how his words lead a man to walk. What about his touch that restored sight. Think about every disciple that dropped everything to follow Jesus. The passages lead to thoughts of how truly amazing Jesus is.  Words can never describe the amazement that rises up inside when thinking about the power, the grace, and the love of Jesus.

Now, move your thoughts to your life and how amazing Jesus has been in your life.  Think about the moment when a loved one faced certain death, but death never came. I have to clearly state this did not happen by chance, but the grace of Jesus pushed back death. Have you faced financial situations where you could not envision a plan that would change the situation, but one day you realized that your situation has a bright future?  Do you think it was all your hard work and the advice you received to correct your situation? I would have to say it was not, but the power of Jesus pushed back ruin and added life to your situation. The most awesome, loving, and amazing picture you can have of Jesus is his death on the cross for all of us.  His blood poured out, the pain he encountered, and the moment of aloness he felt, but suffered through because of his amazing love for all of us. So, if you ever think or feel you are in this life alone take time to think about our Lord Jesus Christ and you will know there is never a moment in this life you are alone.

Grace and Peace to you
